مسجد عمر علي سيف الدين هو مسجد على اسم السلطان رقم 28 لبروناي .. (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
ويعد واحداً من أعلى الأبنية في القطاع المائي في بروناي (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
وهو من أجمل الأبنية في جنوب آسيا وأكثرها دقة وروعة .. (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
ومشهور بقببه المذهبة ورخامه الإيطالي وسجاده الفارسي (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
وتمت إنارته بشكل فريد ليعطي انعكاسات بديعة مع الماء الذي يحيط به من كل جوانبه (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)

وقد شيد المسجد سنة 1958 بتكلفة بلغت حوالي 5 ملايين دولار .. (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
وهو من الأمثلة الشاهدة على العمارة الإسلامية الحديثة .. (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
حيث تعتبر العمارة في هذا المسجد مزيجا للعمارة الإسلامية والعمارة الايطالية (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
وقد تم تصميمه بواسطة مهندس معماري إيطالي (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
وتم بناؤه على بحيرة صناعية بالقرب من ضفة نهر بروناي (https://groups.google.com/group/al-daoy/boxsubscribe?p=FixAddr&email&_referer)
